Joey’s Van is a tribute band based out of the Tri-Cities, TN that specializes in Pop Punk, Emo, and Alternative from the 90’s-00’s. With an unquenchable passion for the iconic sounds of the era, this dynamic group delivers a high-energy performance that will give you the dose of nostalgia you have been longing for.
The goal of Joey’s Van is to pay tribute to the sounds of the era with faithful adaptations of all the Pop Punk classics. Known for crafting their fast-paced sets with intentionality, variety provided by multiple captivating vocalists, and popular yet unconventional song choices, they fill a much needed gap in the tribute band market. They pride themselves on aspiring to the highest level of professionalism without taking themselves too seriously.
The band does not write any original music, allowing them to be free to perform these familiar angsty tracks without the burden of having to promote anything except a good time. They instead point their creative energies on innovative transitions between songs, dropping nostalgia bombs, and keeping the crowd entertained. Their show is very friendly to a short attention span, moving through songs quickly and leaving no opportunity for the energy to be lost in the room.
While originally intended as a “low-stress” side project, the band quickly figured out just how hungry bar crowds across the nation are for 90’s/00’s nostalgia. With Millennials longing to feel like a kid again, Gen Z discovering that pop punk is actual 🔥, and with many of these old bands recently doing massive reunion tours, it’s undeniable that the music is experiencing a massive resurgence. The project took off quickly and has evolved from a few local gigs a year to staying booked most weekends, even playing 29 different cities in 2024.
